Spring Refresh with Derma E!

February means birthday month for me, which has me thinking more and more about my down hill dissent to 30. 🥴 My skin and hair have been much more of a priority for me in my late 20’s, so I’m always on the hunt for ethical beauty products that fit my needs.

I have tried quite a few Derma E brand products in the past, and loved them all! I was excited to branch out from just skin care products and give their hair products a try!

I’ve been using their Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner in place of my normal volumizing set for a few weeks now and I am obsessed with the spearmint tinkle it has! It just feels clean and like it’s plumping my hair. 😉 I have always had fine strands m, and this definitely gives the same boost that my go-to does!

These three gems?! They have been god sends for my hair in the cold temps and dry winter air. I’ve been using the thickening spray every day, and the scalp relief and repair oil on hair wash days. My hair is getting the moisture it definitely needs in a harsh transition to spring.

I spend the majority of my work day in front of screens, so adding the blue light shield spray and serum was a necessity! Both are very light weight and I’m glad to have an extra layer of protection on my skin!

Which product would you want to try the most?!

New year, same you.

“New Year, same me.”

I know I know. You’ve probably seen this quote floating around A LOT the past few days.

Hear me out.

Since, I don’t know FOREVER?! January has been full of new diets, new fads, change.
But WHY do we feel the need to overhaul ourselves just because the year is different?

Truthfully?
I like who I am! The extra 2020 weight and all! 😜
Do I have areas I would like to improve in? Sure!
But just because it’s 2021 does NOT mean I’m going to just suddenly be able to be a morning person or hate pizza and cookies.
I honestly don’t see a need to put all the pressure on myself to attempt to be someone I’m not. Who the hell has time for that?!

If you’re feeling the pressure to loose weight, make a big change or take a big leap- we don’t need to rush those things. Take your time. Starting in January doesn’t make those things any easier or more important. ❤️
And damn it, here is to always improving the people we are, NOT trying to completely change them. 👏🏻

5 Items You Need in Your Fall Wardrobe!

Ahh. Fall. How I missed you.

I don’t know about you guys, but fall is my absolute favorite time to put outfits together! Give me all the layers!

So here are 5 items that I consider fall staples in my closet. Whether you pair them all together, or only wear one, the outfit possibilities are endless! 🍂

1. A good cozy cardigan

Truthfully this is a year round must for me! I love the finished look they give, while still being comfortable! I do tend to gravitate towards my neutral/earth toned cardis because they go with EVERYTHING. Here are some current favorites. ⇣

Top Left– $23! // Top Middle– comes in EIGHT colors and only $25! // Top Right – comes in other colors! // Bottom Left– this has an thermal look that I LOVE // Bottom Middle– SO many pattern options s for this one! // Top Right– EIGHT colors for this one too!

2. A flannel. Or 8. 😉

Fall is flannel season! 🙌🏻 I love how they continue to stay in style year after year, and they are SO good for layering! My go-to is finishing off my outfit with a flannel tied around my waist. It looks cute, and provides an extra layer if that fall breeze picks up. 😉

Top Left // Top Middle // Top Right // Bottom Left // Bottom Middle // Bottom Right

3. Graphic T’s!

Give me ALL the graphic T’s. It’s no secret that I love a good casual look, and graphic tees give outfits such a fun spin! Pair them with a pair of distressed jeans, some cute booties, and your good to go! Or add some texture with a flannel/cardigan/both! See- outfit options are endless. 😉

Top Left // Top Middle // Top Right // Bottom Left // Bottom Middle // Bottom Right (only $8!)

4. Mom Jeans!

Okay okay. I know these aren’t everyone’s jam. Here me out.

These hug in the right places, while giving a little extra room elsewhere. As much as I love my Jeggings, I also dig the slightly baggy look Mom Jeans offer. Paired with all the above and some cute booties, they’re AMAZING for fall.

Top Left // Top Middle– I own these and LOVE them! Only $22, too! // Top Right // Bottom Left // Bottom Middle // Bottom Right

5. Cognac Accessories.

Yes please.

This one is actually multiple items, but you catch my drift. 😉 We all know accessories can make an entire outfit! Think hat, boots/booties, bag, etc. That cognac color is PERFECT for fall, but also transitional for other seasons! 🙌🏻 Examples are below!

Boots // Belt // Bag // Hat

I hope this was helpful, and gave you some good affordable options, if you’re looking.
