5 Spring Tops You Can Take Into Summer- Style Ideas

The air is getting warmer, the snow is melting, and I am ready to transition my closet into spring!

When I shop for new pieces for my wardrobe, I try to find items that I can style multiple ways, and for multiple seasons. It keeps me from filling my closet with things that I wonโ€™t wear, or will only wear once or twice.

I ordered a few new pieces for spring , and I was excited to throw some new outfits together!

I have styled 5 tops in an outfit spring geared and one thatโ€™s a bit more summery! I am big on finding good key pieces to my wardrobe, and fun accessories to mix and match outfits! My MUST haves are a few good pairs of high waisted jeans and shorts (distressed is my jam!), hats, wrap bracelets, simple rings, and statement earrings! It makes it easy to take a core clothing item and build many outfits with it.

1. Peachy Tee

Tee– code APRIL15 for 15% off // Mom Jeans // Mom Shorts // Hat // Converse // Bralette– code APRIL15 for 15% off // Bracelet

I am OBSESSED with this top. It is a loose, cropped fit and is the perfect pair for my mom jeans AND mom shorts! The number 1 thing Iโ€™ve heard about mom jeans is that people donโ€™t know how to style them. Well- this might be my favorite way. If you havenโ€™t figured it out yet, simple is the name of the game here! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I am a sucker for a good graphic tee that fits well, and this one doesnโ€™t disappoint! My favorite thing about graphic tees is the endless outfits possibilities!

2. Rainbow Cinched Hem Hoodie

Hoodie // Jegging // Shorts- similar HERE // Bracelet // Bralette– code APRIL15 for 15% off // Converse // Hat- similar HERE

I honestly didnโ€™t want to take this one off. Those colors, the neckline, the softness, all of it is just GOOD. Itโ€™s cozy enough for spring days, but also has serious beach vibes. And look how well it pairs with colored jeans/shorts! I canโ€™t get enough. ๐Ÿ˜

3. Lightweight Colorful Cropped Sweater

Sweater // Jegging // Shorts, similar HERE // Booties // Sandals, similar HERE // Bracelet // Earrings

This one is a little out of my comfort zone (see #5. ๐Ÿ˜‰) but I am loving these colors! Itโ€™s one of those sweaters that you find yourself drawn to every time itโ€™s clean. I know the shorts and sweater look isnโ€™t for everyone, but this Wyoming girl is a fan!

4. Chambray Top/Outdoor Tee

Tee // Chambray Shirt // Cropped Jegging // Shorts, similar HERE // Mules / Sandals // Bracelet // Earrings, similar HERE

I styled these same tops with black leggings over on my Instagram yesterday, but I couldnโ€™t wait to see how they looked with my go to green bottoms. Honestly, you just canโ€™t go wrong with a good tee and chambray shirt. Iโ€™m naming them closet must haves!

5. Kimono & Basic Tank/Tee

Kimono, similar HERE // Tank // Jegging // High Waisted Shorts // Bracelet

Itโ€™s no secret that I gravitate towards earth tones and neutrals. These are outfits I can see myself repeating frequently! An easy switch from Jegging crops to shorts and your summer ready. This look is simple, comfy, and flattering- what more could you ask for?! Bonus- this tank is only $8 and comes is a wide variety of colors. After putting this one on, I added a few more to my cart ASAP.

Which one is your favorite?! Comment and let me know!

Being a SAHM casual is the name of the game 90% of the time, so these outfits will DEFINITELY get some use! Iโ€™m hoping to do a similar post soon with some dressier items. Stay Tuned! Until then if you have any questions about the items shown, or are needing outfit help, you can always contact me here or over on Instagram!

Gift Guide for 2 Year Olds

With Maxโ€™s second birthday fast approaching, I have been on the hunt for practical gifts for him. With his birthday being only a month before Christmas, I found a lot of things Iโ€™ll be saving for then, too!

We try to be a little more intentional with toys in our home. Weโ€™ve done the overload of stuff more times than I count, and more often then not we have found our kids were only playing with a couple toys. The last few years we have done a few gifts and then done an experience for each child. Usually it involves a weekend trip away and the birthday child gets to pick the activites we do. We have really enjoyed this change and they have too!

This gift guide is compiled of some great Little family tried and true items, and also some new items that I think will be fast favorites!

The first item on our list was a balance bike. Max is obsessed with anything he can ride on, and we knew it was time for a well made bike that he could use for a long time. I love the idea of balance bikes over things like tricycles because they introduce kids to the concept of two wheels at an early age.

I did my research on different brands and came across Woom bikes. They have a variety of great bikes, starting with a balance bike for little ones as young as one and a half. They were kind enough to gift us a woom 1 classic bike in yellow for Maxโ€™s main gift. Upon receiving I was genuinely impressed with the ease of putting it together and the overall design. The seat adjusts nicely and the bike itself is lightweight enough for him to use on his own.

They also have a bunch of awesome accessories to go with their bikes. Iโ€™m super impressed with this company, and will be coming back for new bikes for the older two as well. Head here to browse their full selection!

Next on the list is art and craft geared gifts. At 2, little ones are beginning to explore their creativity even more, and having easy, less mess things for them to do is key for us. Below are some items we have tried and loved with our older kids, and a few new items that I have heard great things about too! Note- the age recommended for most of these items is 3+, but we are always there to supervise littler ones with them!

All of these options are virtually mess free-HALLELUJAH.

Painting gear, for when you are okay with a little mess. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This next item is a FAMILY FAVORITE. It is honestly a wonderful gift for any age! We love it for little ones because it gives them a soft, safe place to play. The Nugget. It is kids furniture that can transform into a fort, jungle gym, you name it. I promise you need it. And youโ€™ll love it. You can thank me later. ๐Ÿ˜‰ OH. It comes in some great color options, and they’re always adding new ones!

We donโ€™t have many traditional toys that we kept to hand down, but our LEGO duplo and Little People collections stuck. Theyโ€™ve been loved and played with countless times. They both are wonderful toys for kids to use their imaginations, and they provide endless play possibilities. These Tegu blocks are a new find for our house, but we have some good friends that SWEAR by them, so theyโ€™re on our list! Theyโ€™re magnetic and safer for younger kids then the magnetic tiles. Below our some of favorite sets of each!

Last but most definitely not least is educational toys. Montessori style items that help encourage self directed and hands on learning are great for little growing minds!

I am so excited to have another two year old in our home, and for all the things that means. This age is so much fun and full of learning. I hope this list helps you find some gift inspiration for the 2 year old in your life!

Outdoor Water Play Must Haves!

Summer temps have finally hit here in Wyoming, which means you’ll find the kids and I outside with our favorite water play items nearly everyday!

We LOVE park trips, but high temps make it hard to go any time but early mornings or evenings. My kids would spend all day outside if I let them, so we some fun water play items that keep us outside, but not melting from the heat!

Our most used item so far this summer is our H2OGo! Blob. It’s essentially a giant water trampoline /slip and slide, AKA the best thing ever. ๐Ÿ˜‰ It is also on sale right now! I rarely see it for anything other than full price.

We also love this Bonzai Splash Pad Game! It’s like twister with the added fun of sprinklers. We’ve had it for 2 years and it’s still a favorite!

On days that they want to “swim”, we use our spray pool! It is medium sized and all three kids can fit comfortably. They love the spray feature for a little added fun.

For little ones who aren’t huge fans of jumping in to the cold water yet (like my youngest), water tables are a great alternative! It gives the younger kids something do while the big kids are playing in the water.

Aside from all of these great products, we have a few other products that we love for summer time! Native Shoes are THE best water/summer shoe. They are so well made and stay on tiny toddler feet, which is a HUGE win for me! These Old Navy are a great budget-friendly option! We are big fans of June & January’s hooded towels, but they no longer sell them. I found some similar here.

I am not a huge fan of hot temps, but enjoy summer time a little more because of these items! Make sure to follow along on my Instagram and Pinterest for more summer fun ideas!
